It is cool. Realism is something I like in painting. Leslie Harrison's "Icy Whiskers" comes to mind.

When you look at it you would swear it was a photo of a cougar.

look up the works of the realist ken danby, his hockey goalie is the famous one, not hyper real but pretty darned amazing and he didn't use projection either.

My son-in-law does hyper realistic art.

It can take him 3-4 months to complete a piece. I would not have the patience.

k still dont get it ....... the guy/artist with the dark hair reminds me of an actor in a comedy whos obsessed with painting goats/centaurs/minotaurs and is a real douchebag.....fairly recent movie .....think it has that dork paul rudd(think thats the actor-plays dorky average of the average white guy city roles ) in it........is it that movie dinner for schmucks ????
