Camping around McGregor Lake?

I was just wondering if any of the farmers around the south end of the lake still let people camp there still. As youngsters we spent every weekend down there, but havent been back since the '80's. It would be nice to go down there again.
So if anyone has any info, please let me know.

There is a campground at the north end of the lake.

The last time i was at the south end where you are talking about the farmer was trying to sell lots and put in a campground on the first peice of property at the end of the road

The whole area is mostly crown land . There a few pieces of land where you do not have to call the land owner to tell them you are camping. Was there last year for a week and going again this year. Also the land owner can't say no to you camping there unless there is a cattle reason . Google Alberta crown land and on the map it will tell you who you have to call or if you don't.
