Hooked into my PB sturgeon yesterday after the slowest fishing day of my life!!! Not even a nibble in 3 hours and then I fought with this big girl for about 20 mins...wasn't targeting them at the time so he took the p-rig and my 20lb test about 200 yds downstream before I finally caught up with him...It seemed like I had the whole town of Devon with me watching me land this pig but it was fun for all the little kids down there watching such an ancient creature swim back into the river...biggest of the 4 we've landed in the past 3 days http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/1B179999-9A96-490A-B6DB-A72211A78D9B_zpslujjeef7.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/1B179999-9A96-490A-B6DB-A72211A78D9B_zpslujjeef7.jpg.html) http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/AC02ACFF-4085-4969-9AD0-C0B3CDFA2949_zpsj7uz4qjj.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/AC02ACFF-4085-4969-9AD0-C0B3CDFA2949_zpsj7uz4qjj.jpg.html) http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/B2359633-F82F-4347-BE5F-86FC90A178CD_zpsdku59kcz.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/B2359633-F82F-4347-BE5F-86FC90A178CD_zpsdku59kcz.jpg.html) http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/A33CA443-A7E9-4B19-A9FB-8E027DACB533_zpshejfggkm.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/A33CA443-A7E9-4B19-A9FB-8E027DACB533_zpshejfggkm.jpg.html) http://i1153.photobucket.com/albums/p514/Rennich98/F121DF4D-E48F-4C86-8A72-C6E8A825D58C_zpsoomctnfk.jpg (http://s1153.photobucket.com/user/Rennich98/media/F121DF4D-E48F-4C86-8A72-C6E8A825D58C_zpsoomctnfk.jpg.html)

Nope just a gob of worms on a #2 p-rig...bent the crap outta the hook when I brought him in so I need to get some octopus hooks

No way I'd ever use a spring scale on a sturgeon...for every other kind of fish maybe but to me it's not about what it weighs...its about the fight it gives me and then either how good it's going to taste or the privilege of watching it swim back for another day but I was content just feeling the power of it once I grabbed it's tail and held it in my hands
