knives on ebay?

anybody have experience buying knives on ebay and shipping internationally? do they not make it through customs sometimes?

just wondering about fixed/folding blade knives. I know switchblades and the like aren't kosher.

I've bought knives online and had them shipped here from the sates (not on eBay though). As long as it is not a prohibited weapon you should be fine.

Ive bought several gerber and SOG knifes on ebay and never had an issue.
But sometimes customs takes longer when coming from outside of north america.

bought a 4" folding Torsion Assist Knife on ebay, showed up intact and no issues.

I import knives for resale in our summer business, and there should be no issue as long as it isn't prohibited such as a switch blade. Spring assist are fine and fixed blade are fine, and contrary to some belief there is no set legal blade length.

Apparently she had had it happen on international shipments before.
This employee threw everything away sop I would not have received the wrapping and padding had he been involved!!:mad0100:
