Interesting read. I'm not convinced the pitch forks are coming however, for various reasons he doesn't touch on.

I'm glad Canada has a much stronger middle class, but for how long as we seem to keep following American policies.

I don't know how you measure a "strong" middle class, and if ours is stronger than the US middle class. Does an absence of billionaires make the middle class "stronger"? Cuba has a really big "middle class" with no billionaires. Do they have a stronger middle class than the US? I think they have a big poor middle class.

This is a hard one to grapple with. Is a situation where the rich control a large percentage of a really large and rich economy worse that one where the rich control less of a weak small one? And beyond economics and wages, what about power and influence on politics?
