Should be an easy sell. Without seeing it, hard to price. Not up to par with todays market. Could be anywhere from 3-4K to 20K. Do your homework when figuring out the price. Check out the chevelle clubs around canada and the states. Their classified would give you a good idea. There would be collectors in the clubs that maybe looking too.

http://www.chevelles.com/classifieds/showcat.php?cat=11

I'm pretty sure that it would sell for a higher price in the States. I saw a 57 chev that would sell for 50k in canada sell for 86K in the states.

Get a quote for the body work and then crunch the numbers to see if it is worth getting it done.It the upside potential is there then go for it.If not sell it for what it is worth as a project car.Since it has been garaged for 10 years I doubt it has really nasty body rot.

Garaged for the last 10 years still means it spent almost 40 potentially not garaged, just saying.

If it was restored and minty you could get 15 to 20g but it will cost 50g to get it there:) the crappy reality of restoring old cars . You do it cause you love it not because its a cheaper way to get you dream car

Yes it has rust but its almost 50 years old..All body lines are good..Like I say its all there and everything works even the foot bulb for the window squirter works..A very worthy project..a true diamond in the rough..It will take some work but the end result will be worth every penny..I will get some pics up..

That is usually the case for old collector cars in Canada.I got bitten by the sports car bug a few years back and I bought a Triumph Spitfire. The body was good but the engine was bad...typical of Spitfires.I also bought a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine which had a good body and a good engine but it had sat for years in a garage and the brake system was shot and had to be rebuilt including the calipers. All told I avoided getting raped by a local British Car Shop for the Spitfire engine rebuild and I ended up breaking even on it.For the Sunbeam Alpine I did a lot of the brake work but I had to get the calipers rebuilt and it had to pass an inspection which it did.I had it listed on Ebay and a buyer brought in an outside agent to take the listing off of Ebay for a private sale.We agreed on price and they guy paid for the car via bank transfer and he then had it shipped all the way to Chicago.....he must have really liked that car.

Gotta say though I really enjoyed driving those top down sports cars especially the Spitfire after the engine was rebuilt.Uber fun to say the least and I got "middle age crazy" out of the way when I was 36 LOL

I also have a 67 Beaumont fully done and finished.400 Big block 4 speed Borg warner..Goes like #$%#. Took me 10 yrs to get it perfect..The chevelle is in better shape then when I got the beaumont and I see a top of the line chevelle down the road..I think restored it will be a beauty. The best thing is its all there..No searching for parts..Could be a great street rod but with the numbers matching I think should stay original..And an SS to boot..Not many around..

You didn't store the car for ten years for nothing. I would suggest redoing the car. Nice muscle cars will never lose value. Redo it and drive it up to Ft. Mac with a for sale sign on it.

I wish I would have kept the 62 SS impala and 67 SS impala I had. The younger generation will never understand that they missed out on regarding muscle cars.

LOVE them old Britty open tops. Unfortunately I am 6'4". Seems you need to be some kind of homunculus to fit in one. I fit in a Miata quite nicely. If it wasn't for the whole chick car persona. ..

Colin.

Seriously. A hundred point resto on one of these old hulks can net huge bucks at the right place. I watched a 58 Belaire 4 door go for 86k 5 or 6 years ago at Barrett - Jackson. Troubling to say the least - unless you happen to be selling a 58 Belaire 4 door...

I had a 72 Riviera that I spent more money than brains restoring and beefing up about 20 years ago. 3 inch dual exhaust with a cross over. Yeah ... 455 rocket. I remember idling through parking lots and setting off car alarms. People looking at me like I was hell incarnate. Kids don't get that anymore. Mind you I will never understand the need for a car stereo that is so loud it is painful to sit in said vehicle while said stereo is playing.

That's the sweet-sweet stink of high test in the nostrils of today's generation.

Sigh...

Colin.

Nothing better than starting up some old muscle..Wild cam..Just bouncing on the driveway trying to idle..Pull on to the street..Let the clutch out and just idle down the street knowing she will burn up the road if given the gas..Roast em through 3 gears and hardly move..Grab some ground and gone..Man I love old muscle..

Just the 283 is a very desirable engine by itself let alone the car. One of the most reliable simple engines made. One of the engines stock car drivers like because you can't kill them up very easy. The 283 will make RPM like nothing else. There was 450K miles(not Km) on my 283 before it was rebuilt.

Header design of one of the original swap kits from Holman & Moody for a V8 into a Pinto.

Original B2 headers out of my car. They will no longer work for me. Engine is higher & back farther. Plus they are only 1 7/8" tubes & the collectors reduce to 3".
New ones will be 2" tubes. Collectors to 3 1/2" with full 3" exhaust dumping in front of the back tire. No room over the diff. Collectors 20" long.

Headman also made a set of swap headers. You need to use front engine mounts for these. This black set was put on an engine a ran, but never on the road. I also have a NOS set. Both will be ceramic coated inside & out. NOS set may be for a 351w. Got to check that (one day).
All tubes go under the cross member to a flat collector.

No, The Malibu was a little more upscale then the Chevelle.

The Chevelle came out in 64 as Chevys first mid size car. There was a Chevelle 300, Malibu and a Malibu SS. 64-66

In 67 they dropped the Malibu SS and started calling them Chevelle Super Sports.

In 68 (new body style) the top Chevelle was listed as an Chevelle SS, and ultimately the SS 396. with the Malibu falling as an in between.

For 69 the were still "called" the same names but they were all options now. Where as earlier they were seperate models.

GM was screwy back then with their model designations for their mid size cars.
