If anyone is wanting to scratch larger Rainbows off their bucket list, well. now's the time to do it. Aside from a few days of really good fishing and catching 2 thru 3 pounders, I lost what I guesstimate to be an 8 pounder. Ugh! brutal. Anyways guys, foam anything for the fly, silver spinners or tiny silver spoons for that crowd and leach presentations for the slow retrieve float crowd. Get out there now, they are crazy, smashy fun.

Green Drake hatch?!

Firstly; clouds of bugs, every kind imaginable, one could barely breathe come sundown.

Secondly; where isn't important nor are pictures, unhookem and release em quick, I'm not going to pocket dig or try to see my phone screen to take a pic.
just go to your fave trout pond NOW, especially if you are learning how to fly fish, in fact flyfishing would net you more than other types of fishing. for the non-flyfishers, tiny mepps/pm spinner in silver clip off your hooks and run a line 12 inches behind with a nice nymph or wet fly.

Me too it's been a great summer for me for rainbows. Limiting out everywhere I go and a few large 2-4 pounders
