My Dad has a 10 gauge side by side with "L.I.G. elgoibar spain" markings on the barrel.

His Dad bought it from S.I.R. in 1953 or 54. He wants to sell it but has no idea what it's value is or how to find out.

I have done a google search as well as searched this site but I have come up with very little.

Does anyone out there have any Idea were I could go for info?

Hard to tell what you have. A quick look online shows they were made in Eiobar Spain like so many other shotguns. Price wise I see some going for 300 to 700 but may not be your exact gun and they were 12ga. I could not find the LIG company on any shotguns listed although I found a reference to it as a company. One guy bought your exact gun and cut it down to 24" to use as a bear defence shotgun:evilgrin: Why do you sell it anyway?

Your dad's shotgun, in mint original condition, is valued at $475.Cdn

In excellent used condition it would be $350 Cdn.

The Spanish Ibar's are a good serviceable gun, along the same lines as the Savage Fox model B's in terms of reliability and toughness, but you won't retire on its monetary value.
