Shallow water motors

I'd like to run some shallow water creeks in one of my canoe's with a square stern. Anyone have any experience running creeks with those conditions with a small motor?

The very best advice I give when people ask about a canoe and motor set up is not to overpower it!
They are a displacement hull and don't plane worth a dang!!:thinking-006:
Light weight is essential as well....
