What are some of the biggest codfish anyone has caught? Is this an extreme size for a codfish?

Nice fish but nowhere near a record. North atlantic cod have been caught over 200 lbs.

Biggest I ever caught was around 20 pounds. My great uncle has stories (and pics) about getting into a school of 70 pounders!

I remember jigging and a lot of times my Dad would have to pull the fish in for me. There were lots of big fish 50 years ago.
