Ok I found the thread that say they are not edible, and I am ok with that.

The lake we visit has an abundance of these clams in the swimming area. I would like to remove them, as there are countless occurrences of them cutting peoples feet.

1. Is it legal to remove them from the lake?
2. Do they offer some sort of benefit to 'clean' the lake, and am I better off to relocate them?

I'd just move them elsewhere instead of just wasting them.

OR........You can put them on the shore where the gulls will find them and watch them bombard cars and trucks by dropping them from up high hoping that they'll crack open on the asphalt......lol!

.......No, don't do that. :)

Good idea I will leave them for the birds!

Wear sandles, if you must remove them then move them to a different place in the lake.

Cause your feet hurt is no reason to kill them.

Reason is to feed birds. I would never do anythign purely for my benefit :thinking-006:
