Hey guys. I have a buddy who due to unforseen circumstances has not been able to get out with his WMU 142 draw tag. In fact it looks like he is going to have one day to hunt this season.

Has anyone spent some time in this zone this year? if so any hints on where to start? I said I would give up one of my days to go out and see if I could help him a bit.

Thanks
Jamie

I've seen them right on the edge of newell in the brush before. My guess would be to check every bush you can find out there.

Yes you absolutley need written permision for EID land go to the office and fill out the form you need one for each hunter. The permission is good till Dec 31st of the year issued. You can also get them to send you the form and mail it back to them but it takes to long IMO. They are more than happy to give you the permission but F&W does ask for you to produce it when stopped and you need to have it.

Just pass by there yesterday. It says huntng is allowed is long as you follow their regs( most of it is safety pre caution as it is with in the proximity of the highway 36 secondary) written on every entrance. Does not say anything about any written permission. I have seen about 100+ of antelope different herd by the highway so I did stop in their area.

Take your chances if you wish!

Drive strait thru Brooks main drag hit the T and go right go across the tracks follow the road large brick building on the left EID the signs you saw all had a phone number call and they will ask you to come in fill out the for they sign it and give you a copy of the rules and a map. Even when you get an Antelope draw in the area the information is sent to you with contact info.

Jamie I would not miss lead!

I would not waste my time if it were not a requirement.

There is road turn out and an 8X4 feet board and all stated on the board. It even specifically address to hunters. Or maybe I did not read right or they remove the sign yesterday :innocent:

Forgive me I am but a fool who packs this useless permission slip with me from the EID well all others need not have it! I regret that I am so simple as to stop and get it each year I am most likley the only fool to do so. How could I be so foolish again I apologise I did not realize you were so well versed in the requirements for access to EID property.
