Hit Up Gull Lake for a Couple Nights with the Boat, then Headed out to the Blackstone for 4 nights. Fishing wasn't real hot at either but got into a few Walleye and Pike at Gull, it was almost too hot to Fish During the Day, but did good in the Evenings. Lots of Dead Whitefish Floating, but no Blue Green Algea Reports. And found found a few holes holding fish up at the Blacksone. The numbers are still WAY down on the upper reaches, and it looks like it blew out as bad as last year. Wasn't able to fish very Hard with a Toodler and 8 month Pregnant wife tagging along..lol. Still got a few Decent Cutts on the fly, and got a bunch of Bulls and Rockies as well. Helped my 2.5 year old Son catch 2 Bulls, and my Niece got a Few Rockies, which was just as rewarding as nailing fish all day!! Pretty Crazy Hail Storm on thursday, Truck and Trailer Got Hammered...Sadly my son found a Walleye Rig with worms on it, along with a bunch of Garbage at the Blackstone Campground Hole.. I took a pic, and called RAP, unfortunatelly there was no Officers in the Area to come. it fills me with anger to see something like this on a River i care so much about, its probably a good thing that i didn't come up on them while they were doing it...
Non the Less, Was a Great Relaxing Week with the Family!
