Going fishing to lske winiferd in a couple weeks with a bunch of buddies. Its gonna get very competitive i am sure. Got any tips like what hooks or hook sizes that seem to work good. To help maybe give a little advantage

I just got back last weekend and man was it great fishing. My suggestion would be any spoons or spinners as big as you can buy em. We had even small walleye and pike hitting the big lens thompsons I had for lake trout. Five of diamonds and Red Devils worked great for me but honestly you can't go wrong with any of them and the bigger the better.

Buy a few Bondy Baits, fishing hole carries them, 7 oz rubber body that any fish will hit especially big fish

had amazing results with the Perch style rubber bait from Storm, they sell them there, and the fire-tiger pattern "Cyclops". The first year we went there we slayed them on white with black stripe len thomsons

Enjoy, I love this lake

I ran 17lb test with no issues. Some of the guys with big hopes on catching a monster ran 20lb test and none of us had issues. If you got your drag set and don't mind the fight you shouldn't need too heavy. The girlfriend forgot to ask me to change her line and brought in a 14lb pike on 8lb test.
