Hello, I got a new to me boat and trailer, I got the boat home and started polishing it up and noticed the front of the boat is sitting above the rollers, is that correct or should I lower the winch so it sits on the rollers?
Thank you,
Corey

I'm not an expert, but have had a few boats over the years and seen a few others ........ Generally - the idea is to have all the rollers (or bunks) carry the weight of the boat evenly, however, there are some rollers that are designed to be "guides" so you don't crash the hull when launching or loading.

The best thing to do is watch how it glides up and slides off to see if, at any point, that front roller is doing anything. If its not, adjust it so its serving a purpose.

The trailer may be made for a deeper style hull.

The boat should sit evenly on all the rollers. Is that boat glass or
Aluminum ... I would say try to raise the front roller so it is touching
The boat without changing the height of the boat ....
Check the boat and see if the rollers have made any marks on the
Hull . If not it hasn't been on this trailer long .
The bow is on the winch mast in the right spot , could be a little higher .
You have to get all the rollers level , if this came from a marine dealer
Take it back before you damage the hull .

I took it out and I did notice the hook gets hung up on the nose roller and it doesn't touch the front roller at all (it's in the water before it even touches it.)

I'm not sure, it is possible.

It is a fiberglass hull, the winch could be a little higher? Cause right now the hook gets caught up on the roller that the nose of the hull sits on and I always have to give it a good push to release. No it came with the boat boughten second hand.

So there is no support for the bow area as the boat slides back .
You likely need anther centre roller . All the rollers should be level .
You could raise the winch so it is closer to the eye .
But definitely to much space between that front roller and the back rollers .

If you are planning to trailer this quite a bit .....I don't like roller trailers
Tough on the hull .....you could put bunks on this quite easily .
Take more pics of back rollers . Who ever sold this to you likely
Just put the two together for a sale
