I have a big pond and I noticed I have some tiny perch, so the first thing I did was grab my rod and fish for them! I caught tons of SMALL guys but no big ones. my question is, is there any BIG perch in my pond??

the perch may have been stunted by overpopulation of the pond. Competition for food and resources......

Odds are there are some big ones there, you will just have to weed out thousands of little ones before you catch a big one.

The big ones are smart and will stare at a hook before taking it. The small ones will circle your hook and see which one can take it first. Chances are there are a few big ones but good luck trying to catch one as the little perch are stupid and will bite anything that looks like food. Have even seen them pick up rocks off the bottom a few times. Bigger hook will stop the little ones from getting hooked.

I can't tell you on here . I have to come and assess the situation. Where is the pond located.?:) I'm free tomorrow
