Crowsnest ice fishing

Anyone have any idea of roughly when there is enough ice on the lakes in crowsnest to go ice fishing? Trying to book my days off for a trip!

Boxing day on is always a safe bet.

Just never know what is going to happen in the south, could get cold but then rolls in a huge chinook and it delays things for a while.

It's a tricky lake.
Use a fish finder!

I've caught several over the years. But it's not a sure thing.

DO NOT fish by the outlet stream coming from the mountain. It sometimes runs all year during warm winters.

There are springs in places that make the ice thin.
