Any one know of the ice conditions on any of the little lakes around caroline? Thinking of trying my luck out around there.

Thanks

Around here it's looking good so should be the same down there.

Cow Lake apparently has at least 6 inches, so I'm thinking Burnstick, Birch, Tay, Swan, Phyllis, Alford should all be good to go.

Anybody been to Dickson Trout pond yet? You think it would be good to go by now?

I'd say it would be. That lake is too easy though. Fish in 10 feet of water and less, ice should be adequate but i really have no idea.

How is the fishing at Phillis? I have never been there before but am thinking of heading up there on saturday. Are there any reccommended spots or tactics anyone might feel inclined to share? How is it for wind? Thanks RH

Sunday Jan. 18 fished at Strubel from 1100am to 230pm until the skidoos took over the lake. Landed 8 rainbows 10" while standing on 14" of ice. There as about 25-30 pick-ups on the pond but it was too nice a day to go home. A conservation officer spent the day at the lake and counted the catch/release all cay. We released all 8.
