I fished Lake Yojoa a couple summers ago, beautiful lake, abysmal fishing.

Great offshore fishing. Billfish all year. Big tourny there now I believe...or just wrapping up.

locals were catching lots by the wiei about 2-3 km walk from west beach towards west bay.

don't get tricked into the snorkelling adventures they set up and try and sell to you on the beach walk to the far west end of beach best snokelling on the island.

ps its scary as hell riding scooters there, very few traffic laws, but if in an accident cops take the person they feel at fault right to jail. went 2 years ago just double check stuff like that so your informed. be careful in certain areas we almost got mugged in French harbour guys tried to kick us off scooters. but such a beautiful place and cool culture
