Island Lake by Baptiste, Athabasca

Two questions,

Is there any decent sized perch there?
Is there good winter access to get on the lake and where abouts?

There are always good perch in Island lake. Fished there this summer and planing to ice fish there this winter. You can catch nice Walleye for fun in Baptist lake. Got a Trophy winning Perch out of Island Lake as a kid. It was the largest in Alberta.

You can get onto the lake at any of the public boat launches.

Lived in Athabasca for 15 years tried Island, baptiste and calling on a regular basis. Always had the best luck on Calling in late march for big ass perch.
