I had to be careful how I worded that, LOL Does anyone have any slick methods or tools for cleaning an ice fishing hole? I just use the traditional scoop but will be fishing from a camper style shanty this winter and I was wondering if anyone had a slick way of doing it.

if you cut holes with a saw, 10" strainer with a handle.

If you want to keep cuttings and water out of the inside of your shack, check out the Catch Cover Slush Bucket.

Get the long handled frabill scoop. Black handle and yellow scoop, saves you from bending over.

If fishing from a shanty or camper or whatever shelter that has a wood stove, keep a bucket of water heating and whenever there is slush forming or ice in the hole, pour some water in. Works great. I suppose water can be heated on some propane stoves also but I've never tried it.

Sweet rig. Notice they have a tip up alert that sends notification to your phone or tablet that you have a fish on.

I bought it directly through that link. I also bought the 8" adapter for it as well. I have now used it on thin ice 4-6" in warm temps and 11-12" ice at -30. Works like a charm everytime.

Just rebrand it as the Fish Elevator.

I guess I should have read the OP's question a bit better. Anyways my reply is what I did when ice started forming in the hole as I was fishing. LOL

just heat some water on your wood stove and periodically pour the hot water in your hole.
