Need some help/info

Have not done any ice fishing for a long time and looking to get back into it this year.Was looking to go to Burnstick soon.My problem is I am waiting for double knee replacements and don't know how far I can go in the snow/slush.How far would I have to walk at Burnstick from parking to fishing?would it be safe to take my snowmobile? Thanks for any help/advice.

Having both my knees done in January, I feel your pain and desire to fish.

Wait until you can drive on the lakes you want to fish and save the slogging from your knees. Heck you can always have a buddy drill a hole next to your side view mirror, attach your line to the windshield wiper and use the intermittent setting to jig for you!
