View Full Version : Sticky? Alberta Work Safe Ice Guidelines
Maybe a sticky to aid in the safe navigation on ice .... some good information in here about loading, driving speeds, clearances and distances from vehicles between each other, time it takes ice to bend, identifying ice types and types of cracks ..... really good info here.

Thanks EZM, this being my first hard water season there's lots to learn to stay safe!
I read that earlier this year but for what ever reason preferred http://www.dot.gov.nt.ca/_live/documents/content/Ice%20Construction%20Field%20Guide%20web.pdf
Probably it was the graphs and charts.
Have a nice safe season everyone

The section on reading the cracks you see and what they mean is great, never seen that before. Thanks for posting.
