water was so clear it was almost like fishing in the tub. 8 feet deep where I was on Newell today. Hurricane winds then rain then a blizzard to end the day. ended up with 5 pike best was 7 or 8 pounds, great way to kill a Saturday:sHa_shakeshout:

I usually have a smaller bait or a lure to get rid of these little annoyances when they want to steal my bigger bait or bite off a walleye jig. pull them out, take a pic and send them on their way hopefully to tell their mamma about the mean man and send her for a visit!

Nice shots Wayne! It sure is fun getting to see it all go down like your standing on a huge piece of glass looking down. Can't wait to get out again soon. Awesome stuff

Congrats on a nice day of fishing and pics. are great. Few lakes around here where water is that clear. Pity about the wind and rain, but heck, I hear it's always windy down south.

Was very clear at rainer draw today. Fish where biting but I was not catching. They where taking heads off. Time to rig up the stringer hooks

must have been you driving along the edge. no these were at the south end of the bay in close. you are right thats quite a hike with 3 inches of wet slush on top!! I cleared off a big area for the double tent and soon as I did I had water gushing out of a crack, had to do it all over again on higher ice. we managed about 9 or so again between 3 of us and a couple other forum guys got a few too. nothing big though, but got another person her first pike through the ice so it was worth the walk. hard to believe there wasnt a snowflake for miles yesterday morning:angry3:

Nope. Although I do have a couple big suckers saved for a certain big fish I want to meet again:bad_boys_20:
