Trip to Vermilion...

Hey guys,

My dad is working in Vermilion for the next couple months on a rail project, and I want to go up and take him ice fishing somewhere.

Anyone know the area, who could give me some direction. PM's are fine if its a touchy spot that ya don't want the world knowing. Pike/Eye's or trout either is fine, I'm easy.

Moose lake,Cold lake, Marie, Numerous Lakes up in the Lakeland area...about 2 hr drive to most

Kehewin lake north of elk point used to be good for perch and pike
It has been a few years since I fished there. I heard the pike have collapsed but not sure about the perch?

Don't know how thick the ice is

Used to o go there kehewan lots.6-7 years ago. Clear lake east of wainwright is a fun little lake usually pull out a few .
