This is what was said in my inbox with the same pictures attached:

"These pictures were taken on the back road coming from Osprey Lake to Penticton B.C. , Tuesday Feb 20/07 afternoon at 3 P.M.

Cats paid no attention to the truck. Have never seen Lynx as close as this before and in such significant numbers."

Great Pics!

I was backcountry camping near Talus Lake. In the morning, I was having a cup of coffee and a large lynx walked past about 10 feet away. It was something it see. Definately a strange animal, legs like a rabbit and body like a cat.

I also got those Lynx pics in my inbox last week. Also saying from Cynthia, Very cool to see that many at once. I once saw 3 together NE of Fort Nelson 4 winters ago, they did not stand around long enough to get a pic.

Not like this guy...

I took these two pics just by Nordegg, a bit up the trunk road, I think it was stalking something because it paid no attention to me at all and I walked on the road parallel to it for a few minutes. I whistled and yelled and it paid no attention to me at all.

Gotta love having a camera with you all the time!

I have only ever seen one lynx and it was under the chairlift as Lake Louise about 3 poles from the base at mid-day. Just seemed to be sitting there sunning itself watch people ride by.

Taken West of Cinthia, by member of the EUB out of Drayton Valley. It is mating season for these guys apparently.

I havesome pics similar to that of a mother and three baby's.We took them on a disposable camera so they are really poor quality. If you look real closely you can actually see them.Anyway they were north of Edson in the Pine Creek area. The mom and one young un were on one side of the road and to other young un's were on the other side crying back and forth to each other. We only stopped long enough to get a good look through the bino's and take the crappy pic's then left them alone to regroup.

I took these pictures in November 2004 while hunting with my then 13 yr old son north of Whitecourt.
They were playing in a frozen swamp and didn't pay us any mind at all. We watched them for about a half hour.
Sorry about the picture quality, it was overcast and just coming on dusk, plus I was using a cheap digital camera that I bought to carry in my pocket.

wow, I would love to see something like that, the only lynx I've seen in the wild is the backsides of them as they ran into the bush as we approached...too noisy I guess

i have a full mount lynx straddling a set of moose horns.
i have called in a few now with a pred call. very slow to respond. amazing to watch, have seen probly 15 total in the wild in as many years.
if memory serves, i believe they stay together as family unit for two seasons
and yes, excellent fotos
