Did you try the Muck Boots at the sportsman show. They have neoprene tops that expand quite a bit and are very comfortable for walking in or riding with. They also sell them out of a farm store in Edmonton north end, next to Welsh's.

check out Dunlop Purofort boots at Mark's wharehouse
I have same problem. They are rubber with a safety toe, not steel toes, they are good to -40C no liners, great tread . I have been using them for 3yrs, I work outside all year, not cheap at $160.00 but it is the only pair of rubber boots i will buy. they offer great support for the whole foot and the rubber is nice and thick. 4 of my hunting buddy's have bought them as well. We get tired of always drying out felt liners at the end of the day.And dont' forget if you do not like them Mark's offers a 1yr 100% return satisfaction guaranteed.
Anyway I love the boots.

I experience the opposite and found that Mucks are more slim than most....can't see that Mucks are your saviour. Just about every rubber boot has way too much room up top for me...
