Gull or sylvan

I'll put it right out there, I've never ice fished before but I've been doing my little bit of research. I want to head out tomorrow and am wondering which lake I should go to, sylvan or gull. And what part of the lake should I fish? Any tips or pointers are greatly welcomed as I am new to ice fishing. Thanks

Don't wanna be that guy but There's a million and one threads about gull that have very good info. Either zip n z's thread about brownlows or sylvan would be a start, or mine has a few tid bits.
