Absolutely no way in hell I would drive on, you're nuts if you would.

There might be enough to walk on a short distance off shore, I wouldn't though, with all this new snow you won't be able to see bad spots; that's if the "ice" isn't slush.

I agree I would wait a while till you drive on at least until after Christmas. I heard Sylvan only has around 4 inches of not so good ice right now so Gull will be very similar. Be safe and try some potholes for trout this weekend till we get through the cold snap.

I just got back from Gull, there was at least 10-12 inches of ice, seen tracks of where guys have been driving out!!! I myself didn't trust it and parked on shore and hiked out!!! Boy is it cold out there!!! Couldn't find any good spots though!!;)

Our uncle drove by gull in late hunting season and he said it was froze over. I went to Sylvan on the first of Dec and it was open water then went back to sylvan on the 4 and it was froze over. So Sylvan will have less than Gull for sure, we were at gull a few days a on the 10 and had a good 7 inches on Brownlows. So Gull is in better shape.

Fishing for whites is good. People catching their limits. Foot or ATV access only. Some people saying 6" and some saying 10" of ice
