Fish Finder for ice fishing and open water fishing???

I would like to buy a fish finder with a flasher to use for open water fishing and ice fishing. I would use it for ice fishing more than open water fishing.

Does any know if the flasher is good in the Elite-4x CHIRP Ice Machine or if this is a good unit?

I have the older version of this (slightly smaller screen) but same features ....

1) It has a conventional sonar for open water fishing (need to buy are regular transducer for it).

2) It has 3 flasher modes, regular fish finder views 3 of them, map view, recording view, 3D map view and all sorts of split screens to give you anything you will ever need all in one unit.

3) Card Slot for mapping cards, or additional space to save waypoints or other data

4) Built in GPS to mark great new spots you find and save them for another day to return to them with pin point precision

5) Great battery and unit case to haul out onto the ice OR take onto a boat in the summer.

I really like mine .... you can, however, get almost any good quality unit to give you all the features here .... but only a few in a convenient carry case type package.

Lowrance or Humminbird would be your best choices of products.

Ice 35 is on sale at bass pro 250 $ the portable case makes a nice holder for the 541 with the other 500$ you could have nice week of fishIing .
