View Full Version : North buck lake icefishing
Has anyone been up to North Buck recently?
I was up first week of Dec and ice was 11inches in most places but still a few soft spots we noticed. Only fished for a few hours then the wind picked up and we packed up. Caught 4 x 50cm ish Pike and seen a decent sized perch on the cam.
My friend caught a very nice burbot last yr, any luck with burbs or whites this yr?

Ya ok buckmaster hahahaha good one.
KIM....drive through Caslan ..to the N.Buck Provincial park
... pass the entrance follow a few bends.. and u will see a rough boat launch. There should be a white ish sign that says " PERCH POINT" Few cabins in area. drive on there if safe and go a bit to the right. I have slayed there for whites many times with the ex inlaws . Also run nets there while back and it was a crazy haul

Very nice lake to spend the day. I also have never heard of Perch point and have been there many times over the years. Must be a local term. Would be nice to hear if anyone is able to drive on the lake with all the snow. Wondering about the ice thickness.
Thanks big bore for the tips. Really appreciate that.
Anyone else catch any burbs?

So this Perch point is close to Hog bay / Pike Bay, if I read your directions correct ?

Ya, but its the second left after Iggy's Cove (which is just south of Burbot Bay). You can't miss it.
Oh yeah? Every bay has a name now or are you just goofing around? Sry can't tell LOL

Perch Point is a real. As long as the sign is still up. IIRC, the sign is white.
Ill try to screen shot it with a dropped pin on it for u.
