A year ago I got a Mr. Heater Big Buddy for $30.00 at a charity auction at work. I saw the exact model at Canadian Tire the other day for $178.00. So you got a really good price.

KMS in Red Deer is out of stock so Canadian Tire would not honour the price match. :angry3:

Ya that is really starting to frost me, I tried to get a layout blind near the end of hunting season and CTC wouldn't match cabbalas because there isn't a store in calgary, but I asked if I was in edmonton would they match it and they said yes. When I picked this up today they called KMS and no one answered the phone :sHa_shakeshout: so they gave it to me for the KMS price....:love0025: not sure if it was the fact they didn't want to stay on the phone or if it was the * wink and the gun * I gave the girl behind the counter.... ..(Try the wink... it worked for me!!) You might try Princess Auto they may not call and check stock... and wink when you ask about it...!! LOL...

Buy a catalytic heater for $60 and a battery powered fan for $20 and it's pretty much the same thing. I have the cabelas 6x12 shelter and that keeps it toasty.

I'm stopping at Cabelas in Edmonton tomorrow and I'm going to see if they'll match that deal. Thanks for posting.

I got mine a couple months ago at Canadian tire for 139. Awesome heater but it blows through the little propane bottles pretty quick. I am going to pick up the hose for the 20lb tank

I printed out the KMS flyer from their website, took it to Cabelas and they honored the price. With the savings I even picked up a few extra things. :)

I wonder if they would honour it after the fact. I just bought one there last week for $150... Might be worth trying as I have to go there anyway... Would pay for half of the tank hose!

EDIT - nevermind the hose, it looks like those are cheaper at KMS too. $33 for a 12 ft instead of $40 for a 10ft.

I see Cabellas has one with a regulator too... does anyone see a need for a regulator on one of these?

The hose with the regulator is the quick connect hose. It does not connect through the regulators on the side. It is definitely the preferred hose for the big buddy.

Was in Canadian Tire on 97 ST in Edm yesterday, had Big Buddy Heaters, regular price, $119. Also had a whole bunch of stuff with "Red Tag" sales tags on them and these are their unadvertised sales. Got a top quality 60 bin bolt/small parts organiser for $99 vs regular of $139. Thought that was cool becasue that is what I went in to buy. Was nice to get lucky and save 40 bucks.
