ice fishing light are can they be used

Bought a string of low voltage lights that are to mount in the hole on the ice i bought in the states and then thought i had better ask the locals if i can use for night fishing

If you arent using the light to shine in the water and attract fish, but merely using it to see what you're doing, have no fear, it's legal. I myself use a head lamp and then lights on tipups.

Haven't checked the regs in awhile, but didn't it use to be anything above the hole was fine. Except attached to the end of the rod or line, can't remember.
