can you ice fish the leduc reservoir? my Alberta fishing guide says theres decent sized rainbows in it...do changing water levels make reservoirs unsafe though?

but in the winter there is public skating on it so i dont see there being a problem with the ice ....

Jenn,
It is fishable.. looking at the 2008 stocking report it was stocked again with rainbows this year. Nothing big was put in but there are lunkers in there. The water is really murky... I ice fished it once, and float tubed it another.
Had one hard hit ice fishing and nothing in the tube.
Expect it to be slow, but if ya hook onto somsething chances are it will be a nice fish.
I may be out there for an evening this christmas... :)

always wondered about that place. drive by there every day and never see any fishermen, yet they supposedly stock it every year.

Where is that Reservoir, Is that the one Beside Highway 2, and Between Highway 39 to Black Gold Drive? If so, Is the fish eatable?
