Had one ordered since Dec 29th, still haven't seen it. Starting to not like Cabellas. Over 3 weeks now. Maybe they should use Canada post for shipping. :sHa_sarcasticlol:

They had a pallet of them in the store before boxing day for 35. Went back on the 28 or 29 to get one and they were gone?

Just go get one of those blue pelican sleds for $20 at Crappy Tire, or better yet go get one of the orange ones at Home Hardware. IMO "ice fishing sleds" are generally too short, forcing you to pack them too high and make them more likely to tip. The bigger ones, and "calf sleds" are too wide and don't fit into a snowshoe trail making them hard to pull. Honestly a cheap kids sled in the 5'-6' range is where its at IMO.

On the contrary, I can put a good deal more than I actually need in one. Not sure how much more gear you want to pull than that.

Going in to Cabellas today and raise some hell. See that the sled has gone up from $29.99 to $35.99 and I still have not seen my sled. Ordered Dec 29th and still haven't heard from them. Wonder what kind of BS story I will get this time. I will see what happens today, but they may have lost a customer for life.

Canadian Tire sells a sled (don't appear on website for whatever reason) that are great. I'm not sure which model I have but two of them fit nicely side by side in my shortbox and run almost the entire length ( I'm guessing 60" x 18" with 12" high sides).

They are easy to pull, can store a ton of gear, and after the ice is thick enough, and you are not towing your sled, they stay in the truck loaded to keep stuff from tipping over, rolling around and scattering. You can also slide them forward to the tail gate as you are unloading like a drawer without having to climb around the truck.

I purchased some 17" x 15" milk crates at Drader and 4 of them fit perfectly in there to hold your camera, flasher, gas can, propane tank, a 5 gal pail upright, and other stuff snug when pulling over hills and down steep banks.

The other sled holds the auger, tent, stove, rubber mats (rolled up) chairs and side table.

Works fantastic.

Get a slightly bigger sled is my advice. These are 2 good options.

I liked this one because its almost 30" wide so less likely of tipping over. And price is right.

Well, just got back from Cabellas. I'm still there customer. The sled was in, and gave me the lower price of $ 29.99 instead of the $35.99. They dropped the ball though, took a month (4 weeks) and no email or phone call that it was in. Appears that they have been in for a week or so. Disappointed but still one of there customers. Now I can head to that lake that I need a snowmobile and pull sled to access providing there is still snow there.

Picked up one of them on Boxing Day for 29.99.

Easily the best sled I've ever used.

Oh ya. I was in for something else and was looking around and saw a stack of them. So i took the 2 I had ordered (and paid 29.99online) and took it to the till.

If you ordered one don't wait! go down and grab one. Either they are terrible at contacting people or it is deliberate for some reason. I had mine 4 days after buying online because I ordered it to be picked up at the north end and didn't wait for a phone call.

I was in Cabelas on Thursday and there was a stack of them but they were not with the other sleds. I bought one last year and I really like it, especially the two buckets cutouts. I can fit lots of gear in it.
