Surf fishing Tamarindo Costa Rica

Hi Folks. I am heading there in a couple of days and wondering if anyone has surf fished there or has any tips for surf fishing.

I have watched folks surf fishing in Florida and Wales with long surf casting rods. Never done it myself. Are you doing that or are you talking about walking the beach just casting a spinning or flyfishing rod?
