The boys are thinking of going out to Gull tomorrow and accessing at twp 420.

What are the access conditions, ice and water out that way?

How's the fishing over there?

We are not Gull experts ..... any insight appreciated and thank you.

Yeah .... not ideal ..... but that's still about 400 less than will be down at the south end. Brownlows is a zoo.

Yes, Brownlows has gotten WAY to popular Moved my shack out of there on Thursday and today had my best day yet this winter. A 77 cm pike,46 and 51 cm whites 62 cm burbot and 1 small perch all out of the same hole!! Shoulda left the zoo earlier I guess

Funny, I fished at Brownlows today and caught almost the exact same sized fish... just a bigger perch and no burbot.... was slightly away from the zoo tho.

how wet and sloppy is the ice ..... need a boat yet or is it tolerable? cleats?

what depth (or kind of structure) you finding the perch? I think that's what I'm going to try and target tomorrow.

Definitely could've used cleats today. Not wet, just icy. The only perch I saw today were in 7-8ft... usually find them shallower myself.

10'-12' is usually pretty good for them at Gull, especially if you can find a nice weed edge...;)

One 75 cm jack two minutes into fishing then nothing for an hour and went home

I had small perch all day (only 3 over 9") 2 small jacks through the hole and one that looked legal missed on the hook set.

JawJacker hooked up 2 Burbs but I dropped the ball and off they went.

Couldn't have cared less as it was such a beautiful day!!!

kept 4 perch, lots of little guys, drilled a bunch of holes , very slow for me, shouldn't be long as some long are full of eggs so that will be good for the whites.

Why is that good for the whites ?

I find when the Ling spawn it makes the whites very aggressive when feeding looking for eggs.
