Anyone out there have a link to a conversion chart to find the weight of a pike. We got one today that was 42" long with a 20" girth...and the 20 lb scale I had in my tackle was not big enough. Rookie mistake.

My calculator says right around 18.5 lbs, certain scales are not very accurate.

Post some pics ......... there are a hundred experts on here (including me) who would give you their "professional opinion" on the weight.

That 42" / 20" sounds about average for girth for that length .... it's going to be right around 20lb +/- maybe a few pounds based on my experience.

Nice fish !!! congrats !!! post up some fish porn.

I caught one two years back that was 42.5 inch and 20.5 around and it weighed out at 23.7

The picture that I have of it does not do it justice....it was one of the fattest pike that we have ever iced (and we put quite a few over 20 on the ice last winter). It was close to mid 20's. Too bad the wrong scale came to the lake or I would know exactly what it weighted.

Creighton - it's only the same fish if you were at Lake X:)
