If I was allowed I'd build another shed in my back yard for a smoker

Where are you? The Hutterite colony south of Westlock used to have a bunch for sale.

I built one a few years ago, 10x12 and 8 foot walls with a good quality steel door with deadbolt. I think it was around a thousand bucks for lumber, skids, door and shingles.

It's not hard to build a shed, go on YouTube and look at some ideas and get at it! It's a great excuse to drink beer and have fun

I may have consumed one or two beers during construction. :)

Be careful buying from the Hutterites, a colony near Edmonton sells sheds as well, a piece of siding blew off one of the sheds on display on the side of the highway and there was no paper (water barrier) of any kind underneath. The shed will be rotten and garbage in 5 years.

Build it yourself if you are at all familiar with construction.
I built this 8x8' shed in one day by myself last spring, I got all material for free from job site all I had to buy was the insulation.

I thought this was going to be a dropped antler, oh well.

Good luck shed hunting.

I helped a buddy build one of those wooden "kit" sheds from HD a couple years back. was pricey, and a complete waste IMO.

A shed can be stick built for cheaper, and be MUCH more sturdy that those kits provide.

If I can build one, so can you :sHa_shakeshout:

But yes, nearly any lumber yard sells them, as does UFA and occasionally private guys on the outskirts of town.

Just to add, if we knew where you live, we could point you in a better direction :)

Me too. However, this is not near as disappointing as the 'Waxing' thread in the G&A section. :)

Anyway, shed packages are available at most home improvement stores, but they tend to be overpriced.

Building your own is a lot cheaper and not that difficult. SKS sniper's photo shows some good ideas. Even trusses are not that hard to make.

A PT base will last a long, long time.

There's a lot out on HiWay 14 east of Edmonton that usually has a couple of sheds for sale.

Ok, I will just say it out loud...that is the Hutterite colony I referred to in my last post that do not use any vapour barrier. I would not recommend buying ANY of the sheds on that lot lol.
