Anybody else have their home rocked by what seems like a couple explosions or sonic booms around 11pm Saturday night. My google-fu reveals nothing. A few of my neighbours and I met on the street scratching their heads, too.

Might have been Oilers fans smashing there TVs when the Flames scored the 4th goal? JK. Hopefully nothing serious.

Same thing happened in Calgary last year. It sounded almost like a huge steel dumpster was dropped from 10'. Officials pegged it as a frost crack in a school yard some 12 km. away.

Probably fracking, gmo, or climate change.

Any new high tension power lines going up in the area? When they fuse the lines the crack can be heard and felt for miles. Wouldn't think they'd be doing it that late but maybe they're behind schedule.

Come to think of it, wasn't it also a backup shuttle landing strip at one time?

Until they built all the unit lines at one end, but the shuttle program was winding down at that point, and Hilary Swank showed how to do secondary landings in 'The Core'. :sHa_shakeshout:
