Hi,

I am going on a trip and need a few good books to get me through the flights. Looking into either hunting adventure books....i have heard a few mentioned on this forum in regards to sheep hunting or books related to pointer dog training asi am currently looking into getting one.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

The German Shorthaired Pointer: A Hunter's Guide…..great book for beginner training…great techniques…good for all pointing breeds as it focuses on the basics...David Mark Gowdey is the author.

I have these two books by Joan Bailey. I have never trained a pointer before and using her methods, I'd say my pointer turned out alright. :sHa_shakeshout:

Very non confrontational approach, can't recommend them enough.

Hopefully you will be able to find them a little cheaper, Amazon.com maybe.

I believe this is a book all pointer owners should read. There is a video also that is great.
