I'm new to the fishing game and was trying to understand how many hooks are legal to put on one line. The regs seem to say 3 per line but does that include three hooks with three points each. Or does it have to be single hooks?
Was thinking of dropping a line through the ice with hooks at 3 different depths but wasn't sure if I could use trebles or if they had to be single hooks.:angry3::thinking-006::test:

A treble hook counts as 1 hook.
I think its all laid out in the definitions section of the regulations.

One hook is only for advanced fishermen Remember a snagged fish is an illegal fish. Lol

From the regs page 21
"Hook – means a single-, double- or triple-pointed hook on a common
shaft, and includes hooks attached to a lure."

Page24
"illegal to Use a line in angling equipped with more than three hooks (e.g., three
hooks, or three single-hook lures, or one three-hook lure).
Use a lure in angling with more than three hooks as part of it.
Use a hook with more than three points on a common shaft (see

Important Definitions, page 21).

Therefore you are allowed to use 3 trebles, 9 points, Max on one line
