Hey guys I have a question, lets say someone gets a license in February 2015, will it last to March 31st 2015 or March 31st 2016? Was asked and I don't have answers. I'd say its a great question, does anyone think they can answer that?

I think it's around March 15th that you can buy next years licence and use it this year still

A fishing license purchased in February 2015 is good until March 31 2015,then you have to purchase a 2015-2016 license April 1st.

Not sure if this is true any more (with he new computer provider etc.) but it used to be that way when you bought them at the local store. Personally I wouldn't mind it being a full year from the date of purchase or even have multiple year licences available like some states.

Maybe with the new system it's changed. Time will tell

But to the original question. The answer is "Only good until March 31, 2015"

I know that we get our license early for the next season....but I don't believe it's valid for the current season....the dates that the license is valid are clearly stated on the license and in the regs...just sayin...

If its not valid for the current season its useless come may when the lakes open up....as thats the same season

I could be mistaken, but I doubt it, there is no such thing as an early license. If you purchase March 31 or before it is only good until midnite March 31 and then you have to purchase a new license for the next season. If this has changed then I stand corrected.

Does it not say the expiry date on the license? My license that I bought in jun 2014 has the expiry date on it (Expires: 2015 Mar 31).
