Hey guys. So we are currently searching for a company that does helicopter flyin fishing in the west country of alberta. Ive googled a couple but havent gotten a reply from either which leads me to be believe they are out of business. Anyone have any thoughts on where a group of 9 could fly in on helicopters and be dropped for a few days at a good quality lake situated in a an area such as nordegg of crowsnest area?? And who could supply such a service

Ahlstrom Air out of Nordegg is an excellent company. Also Rocky Heli Tours. They have a base at the Cline River but only operate it from April 1 until late Fall. I believe they also have a base that runs year round by the Casino in Morley. If you need their numbers I can look them up in our Local Directory.

No I don't but after Family Day Holiday phone Ray or Monica at Ahlstrom Construction 403-729-3958. they run an excellent operation. Theonly thing is they have only an A-Star I believe B3 or variation. If you are taking five people it is great. For two people pretty costly.

The other outfit based at the Cline has had smaller and larger machines on site. They are closer to the high mountain lakes than Ahlstrom but I heard a rumour they may not be operating at the Cline this year.

If you have a big budget, you could go to Fortress Lake by float plane from Hinton. The brook trout fishing there is amazing!

Google hook lake adventures if you're interested in going into bc. Beech 18 on floats should be able to pack your buds and beer.
If you want pm me and I can give you the direct line.

We've flown with Icefield a couple times now out of Cline. Our destination has been the river but I do believe they make runs into both Coral and Michelle lakes as well. The Heli is defiantly a great way to access the back country and guarantee a memorable adventure. Here's a couple links to our trips to prime you up. Go for it.

I've used Icefield Heli Tours to fly into the Michelle lakes for golden trout before.
The same company also operates year-round out of the casino on the Stoney Reserve west of Calgary, doing trips over K-Country.

Blue River BC used to have heli skiing and heli fishing. Might be worth a try.
