I have used these store bought digital cams, what a pain in the butt! Any one have any recommendations on a decent trail cam? please don't mention bushnell or moultrie to me!

If anyone makes there own please share some info with me as to what i need to get started and etc. For once i would like to get a pic of a full deer, not his butt, or side, of a leg or nothing. i am sure some of you out there know what I am talking about!

Thanks and look forward to any help
Dan

hey Dan:

check out these two sites:

http://www.bfoutdoors.com/
http://www.whitetailsupply.com/

all the info is on the site.
I'm starting my journey into building some as well.
First step is to get your hands on some cameras that are hackable.
sony p32 and sony p41 are the best bet.
watch ebay or kijiji, but alot of people are looking for them so they go quickly.

Im in red Deer as well, pm me if you want more info.

Built 1 this past summer using the instructions from this site:
http://www.pixcontroller.com/Tutorials/HowToBuildD-360L-TrailCamera.pdf
Got the camera off of ebay.
It was an interesting project but I think I buy my next one as they store bought ones have come down in price considerably. What issues did you have with the moultrie or bushnell models?
