I actually feel sorry for those Canadians on the East coast.

I think I would hop a plane out of there and forget about what they've had over the past couple weeks.
Too much snow!
No thanks.
It looks brutal just watching it on the news lately.

We have been rather lucky in Alberta so far.

I saw that there's 2.5 meters in Boston.
I suspect it's probably a little less on the northern side of the border.
Up to the truck cab. That's enough.

I wonder how many have just given up on it and booked a vacation.

How can any work get done?
Seems like the Atlantic provinces would be shut down for awhile.

Can you imagine the cabin fever on their message boards?

The mods must be crazy :)

Lucky bunch of.... Sitting here in NL with about 10-12" of snow then we had 15mm so of rain last night. Won't be able to get on any ponds to go ice fishing as they will all be sunk and full of slush. I was ice fishing yesterday and when i drilled my first hole the water came up to about 2 inches above the ice it was sunk and now after the rain it will be screwed. Oh well hopefully off to more hospitable climate this year.

Was there during White Juan
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Juan

City shut down for about a week, no school or work. Boston was kind enough to lend a fleet of truck size snow blowers, was really cool to see them clear roads with them, except for the couple that caught shopping carts and broke down.

I saw where they were hauling the snow off the streets in Boston IIRC, to an open area, then putting it into a bin and melting it. The water was then run into the storm sewers.:thinking-006:
