CP Rail is also hiring train crews. There was a sign out by the RR crossing a couple weeks ago.

CPR's sign was up a couple weeks ago; it was taken down last week before
the strike started.

I can hear a CPR train going by right now. Someone has got to be driving it, probably management and a trainee/scab.

What's a scab?

A strikebreaker (sometimes derogatorily called a scab, blackleg, or knobstick) is a person who works despite an ongoing strike. Strikebreakers are usually individuals who are not employed by the company prior to the trade union dispute, but rather hired after or during the strike to keep the organization running. "Strikebreakers" may also refer to workers (union members or not) who cross picket lines to work. I would also mention that sometimes it's you fellow co-workers who don't support your local union and suck up to management and "steal all the overtime."
