These films are from Iowa but this is how farming was in Alberta in the early days too.
(except for the corn crops)
I thought any AO farmers might like to watch these. It sure brings back some good memories. I recommend the younger fellows on AO watch these to give them an idea of what went into building this land. For the older guys it might be a flashback to the good old days.
My father worked with this type of equipment back in the day. All the farm machinery was very mechanical. Very interesting. I caught the very end of this way of farming. Sold the horse drawn equipment 5 years ago to a fellow still farming with horses.
Might be these kind of days return when the money runs dry.
