camping trunk road 40

Hi there , I'm trying to find out if there are some awsome areas to pitch camp near north sask river close to trunk road 40 , I've been wanting to go for the last two years but haven't met anyone thats camped there , looking to take my dad and son fishing ....... might even try my new sluice box out

You can pitch a tent right by the bridge where the trunk road crosses the river. Some brown trout in the area. Not sure if it is worth sluicing that far up the river. Best gold on the NS river is between Gennesee and Ft. Sask. You can also free camp right below the Bighorn dam but there is lots of people RVing and quadding in the area.

In my opinion, you have wasted two years not even going for a drive to scope it out.

Don't rely on others, get out there yourself!! :)

thanks for the helpful info is there lots of trails that go along the river big enough for a quarter ton pickup , I would normally walk but my health prevents me from carrying a lot of gear
