On February 7, my wife and I had to rush our 5 day old daughter to the children's hospital via ambulance. She needed abdominal surgery, she had a stomach and blood infection, as well as a the flu. After 2 weeks of blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds, constant IV's, antibiotics, nasal feeding tube, she was released and we could finally bring her home on February 20. This was the most difficult 2 weeks of my life.
This thread is to thank every single person in that hospital who helped my family get through this difficult time. To all the nurses, doctors, surgeons, and anyone else who helped us in the PICU and Unit 2, thanks for treating my baby girl and supporting my family and I.
An experience like this really puts things into perspective. I have a new found appreciation for this place and the service it provides.
